Gemini Desktop MCP Support
Current Plushcap MCP support status for the Gemini desktop app.
Gemini Desktop
Google does not currently document a direct way to add a custom MCP server in the Gemini desktop app. There is therefore no supported Plushcap OAuth or Bearer-token setup for this surface yet.
What works today
Eligible users can add Plushcap from Gemini Web for use in Gemini Spark tasks on the documented web and mobile surfaces. Google does not currently document those custom connections as available in the desktop app.

Do not paste a Plushcap API key into Gemini as a workaround. This page will be updated when Google publishes a direct custom-MCP setup flow for the desktop app.
