ADFS vs SSO: Choosing the Right Authentication Solution

ADFS (Active Directory Federation Services) and SSO (Single Sign-On) are both authentication solutions but have different roles in identity management. ADFS is Microsoft's own solution for SSO within Windows environments, while SSO is a broader concept that refers to users authenticating once and being able to access multiple apps without logging in again.
