Vantage Launches Token Allocation Support for Cloudflare AI Gateway
Blog post from Vantage
Vantage has launched native Token Allocation Support for Cloudflare AI Gateway, allowing customers to use request-level gateway metadata such as team, product, customer, purpose, and environment to attribute and manage AI model spending without building a separate ETL pipeline. Customers connect encrypted Cloudflare Logpush logs stored in their own S3 buckets and provide a private decryption key, while Vantage receives read-only access to decrypt, normalize, deduplicate, and match successful request data with supported provider billing records. Costs are allocated proportionally by token usage while preserving provider-billed totals, and resulting tags—including custom metadata and gateway context such as model, endpoint, cache status, and rate-limit status—can be used in Cost Reports, Virtual Tags, Budgets, and Cost Alerts. The feature supports providers including OpenAI, Anthropic, Amazon Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, Google services, Cloudflare Workers AI, xAI, ElevenLabs, and Baseten, is generally available at no extra charge, and does not require Vantage’s separate Cloudflare cost integration. Vantage states that it does not store prompts or completions, only extracts metadata needed for attribution, reprocesses a rolling three-day period for late logs, and leaves unmatched or incomplete telemetry reconciled so total provider costs remain unchanged.
