Vantage Launches Hourly Granularity for Financial Commitment Reports
Blog post from Vantage
Vantage has introduced Hourly Granularity for its Financial Commitment Reports, allowing customers to monitor their spending, discount coverage, and savings rates on an hourly basis. This enhancement enables users to analyze intra-day fluctuations in the utilization of Reserved Instances (RIs) and Savings Plans (SPs), facilitating better optimization decisions and cost savings. Previously, Vantage provided daily, weekly, and monthly reporting, but this new feature offers a more detailed view essential for evaluating hourly billed commitments. Users can filter and group data by various dimensions such as service, account, region, and tags, to align their analysis with business cycles and purchasing strategies. The feature is available to Vantage customers with connected AWS accounts, and users must contact support to opt-in. While currently exclusive to Financial Commitment Reports, Vantage plans to extend hourly granularity to other report types in the future.
