Kurier accelerates development & restores work/life balance

Vienna-based Kurier Group, a major player in the Austrian publishing industry, enhanced its operational efficiency and work-life balance by adopting the Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) provider Upsun. This transition allowed Kurier's development team to shift its focus from DevOps to product development, automating many tasks that previously consumed significant time and resources. By implementing Upsun's feature-branch model, Kurier significantly increased productivity, enabling faster development and testing of new features, which boosted stakeholder and customer satisfaction. The switch also improved site reliability, reducing outages and deployment issues, and decreased operational costs by 66 percent. Kurier's CTO, Adam Zielinski, praised the transformation, noting the increased stability and efficiency, which allowed him to confidently disconnect from work during personal time, knowing the system was robust and supported by Upsun's 24/7 assistance.
