Tailscale previews announcements planned for its upcoming TailscaleUp event, focused on expanding secure, identity-based connectivity for people, devices, software services, automations, and AI agents. The company says it is updating its Aperture AI gateway and governance tool to give organizations greater visibility and control over the models, agents, tools, and private systems they use, including access logs. It also plans to introduce simpler privileged-access controls for sensitive resources, enabling approved, time-limited access and post-session review without permanent credentials, along with DNS-level protections against malicious or unwanted public internet destinations. Additional planned improvements include APIs, embedded application capabilities, and programmable networking features for developers and platform teams. TailscaleUp will take place in San Francisco with technical sessions, workshops, customer stories, and community activities, while keynote and general sessions will also be available through a free virtual pass.
