Securely connect private data sources to Grafana Cloud with Tailscale
Blog post from Tailscale
Grafana Labs and Tailscale have introduced a new integration to securely connect private data sources to Grafana Cloud without exposing them to the public internet, addressing the complexity and risk associated with traditional methods. This integration, known as Private Data Source Connect (PDC), allows Grafana Cloud to query private data sources over a Tailnet using Tailscale tags and MagicDNS, eliminating the need for exposed ports, proxies, or SSH tunnels. By temporarily joining the Tailnet as an ephemeral node, Grafana Cloud ensures data remains private while still accessible for monitoring through its visualization tools. This collaboration provides a streamlined and secure solution for teams seeking flexible infrastructure monitoring without compromising data privacy, and it is currently available in private preview for interested users.
