Pricing v4: more value, more simply

Tailscale has announced a new pricing update aimed at simplifying and adding value to their plans for both personal and business users. The Personal plan has been enhanced by retiring the Personal Plus option, making the free plan more generous with support for up to six users, reflecting feedback that the previous distinction was unclear. For businesses, the update introduces a shift from usage-based to seat-based pricing to offer predictability and meets customer demands by including more features within self-serve plans, such as SCIM and user management APIs. The changes are designed to make billing more transparent and reduce friction, with existing customers given at least 12 months before needing to transition. The updated plans, now live, aim to align more closely with how organizations use Tailscale, offering improved options without needing sales team interactions.
