Blog post from Sysdig
Kubernetes 1.15 introduces a range of enhancements focused on improving extensibility, scalability, and performance. Key updates include making CustomResourceDefinitions a first-class feature for better API management, redesigning the event API to reduce performance issues, and introducing execution hooks for more flexible container management. The release also enhances network performance with NodeLocal DNSCache, supports AWS network load balancers, and improves storage capabilities through the migration to Container Storage Interface (CSI) drivers and support for online resizing of Persistent Volumes (PVs). Additionally, the update enhances configuration management with a new kubeadm config format for high availability clusters and supports advanced scheduling features like non-preempting priority classes and a new scheduling framework.
