Rill has announced the public beta launch of Rill Cloud, a platform that allows software engineers to create dashboards directly from data lakes without needing a data warehouse, using a fast, DuckDB-powered environment. This tool enables engineers to connect to data sources like S3 or GCS buckets, build SQL-defined dashboards, and deploy them with a single command, making them shareable and continuously updated through GitHub integration. Rill Cloud offers engineers the ability to quickly transform SQL-based data models into interactive dashboards, streamlining the analytics process and reducing complexity by eliminating the need for separate ETL, data warehouse, and BI tools. The service is free for data sets under 10 GB during the beta, encouraging users to provide feedback and engage with the Rill community via Discord.
