The Replit company hosted its first-ever ReplCon hackathon, "MadeWithReplit", which aimed to celebrate and inspire the community. The event offered a total of $10k in cash prizes, as well as the opportunity for participants to share their projects and hone their coding skills. With no theme given, participants were free to code with unbounded creativity. The winning submissions included a Minecraft spigot plugin, a Kaboom.js game called Sky Scraper, an RPG-style skill tree for front-end developers, a typing test called Standard, and an intense action-packed tower defense game called Celestron. The event was a success, and Replit is already planning its next hackathons to encourage more participants to create something cool and win amazing prizes.
