New Red5 Pro Benchmarks

Red5 Pro has released a new software update aimed at enhancing performance and efficiency, particularly for the summer season. The update includes live transcoding and bug fixes, with significant optimizations allowing more efficient CPU usage per server instance. Benchmarks conducted on an AWS c5.large instance showed impressive results, supporting 500 WebRTC subscribers, 1,800 RTSP (Mobile) subscribers, and 1,000 RTMP subscribers while maintaining stream quality. The same server can handle approximately 75-80 480p RTMP publishers. Despite these achievements, the team continues to optimize for WebRTC, which demands more processing power than RTMP or RTSP.
