Apple Mail on iOS 16, iPadOS 16, and macOS Ventura will soon support BIMI, an email specification that rewards brands who properly authenticate their emails with brand logos in the inbox. This update is expected to encourage more brands to implement BIMI as well. While most other inbox providers display brand logos in the inbox, Apple Mail's implementation only shows a text-only view, but once an email is opened and verified with BIMI, the logo appears in the header section of the message. BIMI builds on top of DMARC and provides benefits to both senders and recipients by protecting brands from spoofing attempts and making it easier to distinguish legitimate messages from spam. With this update, brands who had not previously implemented BIMI may be motivated to do so, as Apple Mail's support is now available.
