New Relic customers can now use their knowledge of New Relic Query Language (NRQL) to create dynamic baselines for alerting on time-series metrics generated by NRQL queries, combining the powers of NRQL and Dynamic Baseline technology to operationalize on super-specific metrics. This feature builds upon previous releases such as NRQL Alerts, which allowed teams to operationalize on their performance data using a flexible query language. The new Dynamic Baseline Alerts use baselines modeled from historical application metric data to establish dynamic thresholds, predicting the future based on the past and adapting to overall trends, weekly patterns, and minute-scale granularity to detect short-lived anomalies. With NRQL Baseline Alerts, customers can create alerts with confidence, set dynamic thresholds, and establish strong signals for their key performance indicators, offering virtually endless possibilities for use cases tailored to individual teams and companies.
