Cursor & Namespace: Partnering with Cursor to give cloud agents a real computer
Blog post from Namespace
Namespace has partnered with Cursor to provide cloud coding agents with configurable Devboxes where their shell commands, code edits, repository access, builds, and tests run, while Cursor manages the agents themselves. These development environments can include codebases, test suites, databases, network access, selectable hardware, operating systems, base images, and Git repositories, with support for Linux and macOS and planned Windows availability. Mac Devboxes powered by Apple M5 chips enable agents to build iOS and macOS applications, while shared Namespace infrastructure adds Remote Bazel Execution for macOS-specific compilation, remote Docker builders with layer caching, egress filtering, and federated access controls. Namespace also supports integrations with Devin and Claude, positioning its infrastructure as secure, high-performance compute for a growing role of cloud agents in software development.
