Summary

Mintlify’s new `mint deploy` command allows AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex to publish documentation sites directly from a terminal without requiring users to first create an account or connect a GitHub repository. The command creates a Mintlify-hosted repository, provides a temporary write token, deploys documentation from a folder containing `docs.json`, and makes the site available at a chosen subdomain. Users can alternatively deploy through an existing GitHub repository with a generated GitHub Actions workflow, including support for documentation stored in subdirectories. Published sites must be claimed within 24 hours through an email-and-code process that transfers administrative control to the user’s Mintlify organization; unclaimed sites and their hosted repositories are deleted after that period. Deployment is free, while claiming a first site starts a Pro trial, and agents can also discover the workflow through Mintlify’s `auth.md` protocol or use raw HTTP requests when CLI installation is unavailable.
