Towards a future-aligned pricing model

LiveKit Cloud is updating its pricing model to better align with the resource usage of multimodal AI applications built on their platform. The new model includes a connection fee, lower bandwidth fee, and free upstream bandwidth. Video-heavy projects will be virtually unaffected or may see a decrease in monthly bill. Pricing plans with additional features and free resources are also being introduced. These changes will take effect for existing projects on February 1st, 2025.
