Announcing Disaster Recovery Testing
Blog post from Gremlin
Gremlin has launched a new Disaster Recovery Testing approach that allows organizations to conduct large-scale experiments to validate their failover processes and ensure compliance with regulations like DORA. This tool enables users to simulate zone, region, and datacenter outages to test the resilience of systems against failures, similar to notable outages experienced by AWS and Microsoft Azure in 2025. The testing framework supports comprehensive analysis through pre-built or custom Scenarios, and integrates with observability tools to monitor and safely halt tests if needed. After tests, Gremlin provides detailed results to help identify and address vulnerabilities before they impact production. Additionally, professional support is available to assist in planning and executing these tests, which are immediately accessible to all Gremlin customers.
