At KubeCon + CloudNativeCon EU 2022 in Valencia, Spain, Grafana Labs shared insights on advancements in Kubernetes monitoring, Prometheus histograms, and observability. Highlights included the introduction of the kubectl alpha events command to enhance Kubernetes monitoring, insights into the Prometheus ecosystem, and the future of alerting with Prometheus Alertmanager. Sparse high-resolution histograms were demonstrated for their ability to transform data representation and querying in Prometheus. The event also covered the role of CNCF Technical Advisory Groups in improving observability and the challenges of deploying Kubernetes across multiple cloud providers.
