Juju, Canonical's model-driven operations framework, plays a pivotal role by simplifying software deployment and management across various cloud environments, using Charmed Operators that automate application operations. The new LMA2 stack aims to offer comprehensive monitoring capabilities by leveraging the strengths of the Grafana projects, focusing on metrics, logs, alerts, and expanding into other telemetry types such as distributed tracing. By building on the Grafana ecosystem, Canonical aims to provide a robust, scalable, and efficient monitoring solution that can operate seamlessly across Kubernetes, virtual machines, and other infrastructures, enhancing the ease of operations and reducing the cognitive load on operators.
