Summary

Grafana Labs announced a broad set of Grafana Cloud updates at ObservabilityCON 2026 aimed at AI-assisted operations, telemetry cost management, deeper system context, and user-experience monitoring. New and expanded AI capabilities include generally available Assistant Watchers for detecting telemetry changes, public-preview Managed Sandboxes for code changes and pull-request preparation, and Grafana Pages for AI-generated visual interfaces, while Grafana Workflows introduces event-driven automation for incident response and operational processes. Adaptive Telemetry additions automate or refine metrics, log, and trace sampling and archiving to reduce costs, complemented by generally available full-text search in Cloud Logs using technology acquired from Logline. The Knowledge Graph is expanding to connect frontend applications, cloud resources, synthetic checks, AI agents, databases, ownership information, custom entities, and incident history, providing shared runtime context for teams and AI agents. Grafana Cloud also introduced Digital Experience Monitoring features such as Session Replay, Mobile Observability, and Critical User Journeys, while the Grafana Marketplace became generally available with more than 30 partner-built plugins.
