Grafana released versions 6.7.6, 7.3.10, and 7.4.5 to address critical security vulnerabilities affecting Grafana Enterprise versions from 6.1.0-beta1 to 7.4.4. These vulnerabilities, identified during internal audits, include issues such as remote privilege escalation, access control bypass, and denial of service, each with varying implications for data access and system stability. Users with the Editor role could exploit data source permissions, authenticated users could manipulate team permissions via external authentication services, and unauthenticated users could perform denial of service attacks. The recommended solution for all affected installations is an immediate upgrade, as there are no effective mitigation measures for these vulnerabilities. Grafana Cloud instances have already been updated, and Grafana Enterprise customers received the necessary updates before the public disclosure. Users are encouraged to report any security vulnerabilities to Grafana Labs and utilize available resources like the Security Announcements category for updates and information.
