The program designates a "Prometheus Compatible" status to software that passes all relevant compliance tests, with a compatibility score based on the interfaces a product offers. To ensure ongoing compliance, compatibility must be reassessed every 12 weeks or after two minor releases, encouraging continuous improvement and integrity within the Prometheus ecosystem. The program's transparent testing model, supported by trademark law and a distinct compatibility mark, seeks to guide users to confidently select Prometheus-friendly solutions and motivate vendors to maintain compliance, thereby advancing the overall Prometheus community.
