RarePlanes is an open-source dataset designed to enhance the development of machine learning models through the use of both real and synthetic satellite imagery, focusing on aircraft detection. It includes high-resolution images from Maxar WorldView-3 satellites and synthetic data, providing over 14,700 real and 630,000 synthetic annotations of various aircraft attributes.
