ElevenLabs voice cloning in 12 Indian languages live
Blog post from ElevenLabs
At the Empower India Conference held at the India Institute of Technology in Delhi, ElevenLabs showcased their voice cloning technology live, demonstrating its capability to clone voices in 12 Indian languages including Hindi, Bengali, and Tamil, among others, using unscripted volunteer participation. This event highlighted the technology's potential for multilingual communication, emphasizing its ability to allow a single voice clone to speak in any of the 73 supported languages, thereby preserving the vocal identity of users who may risk or have already experienced voice loss. The demonstration underscored the ease and speed of creating a voice clone, with options for a quick 30-second recording for instant cloning or a more detailed 10-minute recording for higher fidelity results. ElevenLabs aims to make voice cloning accessible and equitable through their Impact Program, which offers free access to their technology for individuals over 18 with permanent speech loss, reflecting their commitment to inclusivity and real-world application.
