The dltHub Mission` aims to empower the next generation of Python users to create and use data in their organizations autonomously by building an open-source Python library called `dlt`. The ultimate goal is to make data loading a commodity, enabling hundreds of thousands of pipelines to be created, shared, and deployed. By addressing the needs of both Python practitioners and data engineers with a minimal Python library, dltHub aims to become the GitHub for data pipelines, facilitating a vibrant ecosystem of pipeline creators and maintainers. The current state of traditional ETL/ELT tools is inadequate, as they either cater too much to SaaS solutions or object-oriented frameworks that don't meet the needs of Python practitioners who are increasingly entering organizations every year.
