When it comes to database hosting, cloud-based hosting is the preferred method, with 94% of respondents using REST APIs and 73.8% favoring JSON Web Tokens for authentication. The survey also found that caching is a crucial aspect of data handling, with client-side caching being the most popular approach, followed by server-side caching. Additionally, developers are increasingly interested in islands architecture, micro-frontends, global stores, and composables to improve app performance and scalability.
