Ending our basic calls product in June 2020

The Daily.co Intercom app is undergoing changes as the company focuses on its API, which will support developers building video chat tools. The free basic calls feature will be discontinued in late June 2020, and users will need to upgrade to a paid tier for features such as recording and dial-in. Existing rooms created before the update will remain accessible, but new room creation and cloud recording will require upgrades. Users can delete their accounts or upgrade to a paid plan with features like recording and dial-in. The company is also expanding its free API tier to support up to 200 participants in free tier calls.
