ShopBack, the largest shopping rewards and discovery platform in Asia-Pacific, operates in nine countries and has significantly expanded since its inception in 2014, now boasting over 600 employees and more than 28 million users. The platform not only enhances shopping experiences but also provides performance-based marketing solutions for merchants, generating approximately US$3 billion in sales in 2020 alone. To manage and analyze its vast data, ShopBack implemented Cube for dashboard reporting and data aggregation, initially facing challenges with query performance. By adopting pre-aggregations and further optimizing them with indexing, ShopBack drastically reduced loading times, aiming for even faster performance. The company collaborated with the Cube community for support and insights, highlighting the active and responsive nature of the community, and plans to implement Cube Store to further enhance data management capabilities.
