This year, we hosted the inaugural Kafka Summit, a global summit for the Apache Kafka community, which provided valuable content for users and the community to learn from each other. For next year, two Kafka Summits will be held in New York City and San Francisco to support the growing community and share the latest developments in stream processing. The conferences will bring together experts, innovators, and enthusiasts to discuss streaming data and its business value. The 2017 events will take place from May 9-11 in NYC and August 29-31 in SF, with training sessions also available. We are proud to announce the release of Apache Kafka 3.8.0, which includes many new features and improvements. To settle a debate on tabs or spaces, we'll build an app using the confluent-kafka-javascript client that produces and consumes data from a Kafka topic.
