Introducing Chainlink Automated Compliance Engine (ACE): Enabling Compliance-Focused Digital Assets Across Chains and Jurisdictions
Blog post from Chainlink
Chainlink has launched the Automated Compliance Engine (ACE), a modular standard designed to facilitate onchain compliance and attract institutional capital to blockchain environments. Built on the Chainlink Runtime Environment (CRE), ACE enables real-time policy enforcement, secure identity management, and streamlined monitoring across public and private blockchains. This innovation, developed in collaboration with Apex Group, GLEIF, and the ERC-3643 Association, aims to integrate existing financial compliance infrastructures with blockchain-based transactions, thus unlocking access to over $100 trillion in institutional capital. The system supports tokenized asset compliance, bridging traditional financial systems with decentralized finance (DeFi) by allowing institutions to automate policy enforcement, simplify regulatory processes, and ensure privacy. The partnership with entities such as Apex Group enhances the compliance capabilities of tokenized assets using ERC-3643 tokens, while the collaboration with GLEIF introduces verifiable Legal Entity Identifiers (vLEI) onchain for digital identity verification. Chainlink ACE aims to streamline compliance functions, reduce costs, and minimize risks associated with tokenized assets, ultimately facilitating the transition of traditional financial systems onchain.
