New Connectivity to Cvent Through CData Solutions

CData has introduced drivers and connectors that provide access to Cvent event-management data from a wide range of BI, database, analytics, automation, and custom-development tools, including Power BI, Tableau, Excel, Python, JDBC, ODBC, ADO.NET, and PowerShell. The integrations use Cvent’s REST API v1.0 to offer bidirectional, real-time access to entities such as events, sessions, attendees, speakers, exhibitors, emails, and surveys through SQL-92 queries, OAuth-based authentication, and read/write capabilities. A Power BI Desktop example outlines installing the CData connector, configuring an ODBC data source with Cvent OAuth credentials, selecting Import or DirectQuery mode, and loading tables for dashboards that can track registrations, speaker lineups, survey feedback, and event categories.
