The Yale Climate Connections team has created a spatial visualization map using CARTO to share local stories about climate change, targeting the Alarmed and Concerned groups most concerned about and motivated to combat climate change. The map highlights radio stations airing the Climate Connections show, articles, and videos, with color-coded icons indicating language spoken, allowing users to quickly pinpoint information of interest. By leveraging location intelligence, YCC aims to empower users to engage with local stories, making climate change more relatable and real, while also identifying gaps in their activities to inform future strategies.
