Browserbase and 1Password bring secure sign-in to browser agents
Blog post from Browserbase
Browserbase and 1Password have introduced Agentic Autofill, which lets browser agents sign in to websites using 1Password-stored credentials without exposing passwords to the agent, application, prompts, or model context. When an agent encounters a login screen, it requests access and waits for the user to approve or deny the request through 1Password; after approval, 1Password completes the sign-in and removes the filled credentials once authentication succeeds. The integration enables agents to work securely across authenticated dashboards, SaaS products, and testing environments while preserving user control and credential protection. Organizations with stricter data requirements can also disable persisted session recordings and logs, while the implementation guide details OAuth, token handling, extension configuration, and other prerequisites.
