October 2026 Summaries

Browserbase has partnered with Parallel to make Parallel’s Fast and Advanced search modes the default provider for the Browserbase Search API and Browserbase Agents, positioning web search as the first step for AI agents before browser-based actions. Parallel, used by more than 100,000 developers, offers sub-second Fast search for interactive assistants and more thorough Advanced search for longer autonomous tasks, allowing developers to balance speed and research depth. The integration lets agents search for relevant pages and then use Browserbase’s browser infrastructure to navigate sites and complete tasks with a shared API key and billing system. Suggested applications include locating official business filings, finding and completing government forms, and comparing products, checking inventory, and making purchases. Parallel Advanced is the default option at $5 per 1,000 requests, while all Browserbase plans include 1,000 free searches per month.
