Quarterly Zerops update — wildcard domains, CDN, external access to DBs, RAM granularity and more

In the latest update, Zerops has introduced several new features and enhancements aimed at improving functionality, efficiency, and global reach. Key updates include the implementation of wildcard domain support for SSL certification, which had been on the roadmap for two years, and enabling external access to databases starting with Postgres, allowing third-party services to analyze database data. A new experimental version of an integrated Content Delivery Network (CDN) has been released to enhance global project deployment, with future improvements planned for caching and headers. The platform now supports more granular RAM scaling in 125 MB increments for cost efficiency, and manual pipeline triggers can now be initiated or re-triggered with different environment variables. Zerops has also improved its shared storage service, allowing for persistent mounted folders, and introduced automatic recurring top-ups for credits based on usage. Resource limits have been increased, and new support for Typesense, a fast search alternative to Algolia, and the Ruby runtime has been added. Command Line Interface (CLI) improvements include new capabilities for streaming logs and deploying files, along with enhanced static service headers configuration for customizing access control. Upcoming plans focus on forwarding container statistics to OpenTelemetry systems, speed improvements, and further CDN development.
