Might as well call it Zerops 3.0 — huge updates and what's next
Blog post from Zerops
Zerops, a platform known for its flexibility, scalability, and developer-centric design, has undergone significant updates since its last major revision in April 2025. The platform now includes multi-region support, advanced authentication features like 2FA and passkeys, and an enhanced authorization system with customizable roles and permissions. These updates necessitated a comprehensive overhaul of Zerops' infrastructure, which was initially built from scratch without relying on big cloud abstraction layers. The company has also introduced improvements in domain management, observability, backup management, and log handling, alongside a complete rebuild of its recipe system for deploying infrastructure. With the launch of the US-East region and plans for further expansion, Zerops is poised to offer a robust alternative to traditional PaaS and cloud services, emphasizing transparency and configurability. Looking ahead, Zerops is preparing to unveil new features, including AI-assisted development tools and edge multi-region capabilities, while expressing gratitude to its developer community for their support during the platform's transformation.
