Only 50% of enterprise leaders say AI benefits are widespread—despite 97% adoption
Blog post from Zapier
A recent survey conducted by Centiment for Zapier highlights the widespread adoption of AI in enterprises, with 97% of organizations integrating AI into their operations, yet only half of these see widespread benefits due to challenges like integration issues, measurement gaps, and tool sprawl. Despite a formal AI ROI process being in place for 73% of companies, 91% struggle to measure AI's true value, with time savings cited as the largest payoff. A notable disconnect exists between executives, 63% of whom believe AI benefits are widespread, and middle managers, only 42% of whom agree. HR has emerged as a surprising leader in AI adoption, surpassing marketing and sales, while IT remains the top department for AI use despite facing its own optimization challenges. The proliferation of AI tools across departments leads to significant security concerns and integration difficulties, with only 9% of companies reporting no significant challenges. Zapier's AI orchestration platform aims to address these issues by unifying workflows and enabling secure, organization-wide AI integration, thus transforming isolated AI experiments into comprehensive strategic advantages.
