How to sort in Google Sheets
Blog post from Zapier
Google Sheets offers various built-in functionality, including the sort function, to help users quickly reorganize data alphabetically, by date, or by numerical order. The sort function has two basic data sorting options: Sort sheet and Sort range. Sort sheet organizes all the data in a spreadsheet based on a specific column, while Sort range organizes only the selected cell range without altering the rest of the sheet. To sort in Google Sheets, users can follow steps such as freezing header rows, highlighting the desired cell range, clicking Data and selecting Sort sheet or Sort range, and choosing the sorting order. The tool also allows for advanced sorting options, including sorting by multiple columns and automating tasks with Zapier integrations.
