How to open a PDF in Google Docs
Blog post from Zapier
Google Docs allows users to open and edit PDFs with decent accuracy, but the conversion process may not preserve formatting, especially for more complicated PDFs. To overcome this limitation, users can use third-party apps like Cloud Convert to convert PDFs into other formats while keeping original formatting intact, and then upload the converted file to Google Docs. Alternatively, users can link to existing PDFs stored in Google Drive using a shared link or smart chip, or insert an image of the PDF into a Google Doc. While there are some limitations, Google Docs provides a convenient way for users to work with PDFs within its ecosystem.
