Zama Developer Program Mainnet Season 2: Confidential Finance Is The Next Frontier
Blog post from Zama
Onchain finance has evolved significantly, with tokenized real-world assets exceeding $27 billion and stablecoin volumes now comparable to Visa's transactions, prompting major institutions to transition from observation to active deployment. However, a key issue is the lack of confidentiality on public blockchains, which is crucial for institutional capital and scalable real-world asset integration. Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE) addresses this gap at the protocol level, and Season 2 of the initiative builds on Season 1 by exploring crucial use cases in onchain finance, RWA, and compliance-native applications, along with new developer tools. This season introduces a Bounty challenge focused on developing AI agent skills for FHE, a Bootcamp Track for new FHE developers, and a dedicated APAC track through the OpenBuild partnership. Participants can earn rewards distributed in confidential USD (cUSDT) for building real-world applications, creating AI agent templates, and completing the developer bootcamp, enhancing their skills in building confidential dApps with the Zama Protocol.
