Zama has successfully demonstrated its Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE) technology within J.P. Morgan's Kinexys platform, as part of 'Project EPIC', which focuses on enhancing privacy, identity, and composability in tokenized finance. This proof-of-concept showcases how FHE can preserve privacy in financial transactions, addressing the need for confidentiality in onchain asset management while ensuring regulatory compliance. Zama's technology enables encrypted transactions for fund subscriptions, secondary market trading, atomic settlements, and KYC/AML compliance, all without revealing sensitive information. At the core of this innovation is Zama's fhEVM, an encryption solution that integrates with Ethereum-based smart contracts, allowing investors to maintain control over their data. This development highlights the potential for increased privacy and scalability in digital asset finance, as institutions can expand their onchain offerings without compromising confidentiality or regulatory adherence.
