The Yugabyte team has been busy with exciting events and announcements, including the 2nd Annual Distributed SQL Summit, which featured workshops, keynotes, and sessions by industry-leading companies. The company also welcomed Justuno as a new customer, who chose YugabyteDB for its high performance and low latency requirements. Additionally, the public beta release of the Heroku Yugabyte Cloud add-on was announced, allowing developers to easily deploy a fully-managed distributed SQL database in the cloud. Envoy Proxy's PostgreSQL & TCP filters can now be used to collect Yugabyte SQL statistics, and the company introduced Jamal Wilson, Lead Development Representative, who shares his experiences working at Yugabyte during the pandemic.
