New in WireMock Cloud: Automatically Create Stateful Mocks for Rest APIs
Blog post from WireMock
WireMock Cloud has introduced a new automation feature to simplify the creation of stateful mocks, which are particularly useful for testing multi-step application flows and reflecting app state changes. This feature allows users to easily set up a full set of stateful stubs with REST endpoints through an automated workflow, significantly reducing the complexity and time required to implement stateful mocking. By using a REST template, users can configure endpoints with a collection path, sample request, and expected response, and WireMock Cloud will automatically generate CRUD endpoints with persistent state management. This innovation aims to make stateful mocking more accessible to developers by eliminating the need for in-depth knowledge of templating or state management, thus enhancing testing, prototyping, and development processes. The feature is available in all WireMock Cloud plans, including the free edition, and interested users can learn more through live demos and interactive sessions with the WireMock team.
