Introducing Versioning for Mock APIs in WireMock Cloud
Blog post from WireMock
WireMock Cloud has introduced versioning, now in private beta, to enhance the management of mock APIs by automatically capturing every change as a commit, enabling users to explore history, inspect differences, and restore previous versions. This feature addresses the fragility that comes with frequent updates to mock APIs, which can disrupt testing workflows. Users can quickly identify modifications through commit histories and side-by-side diffs, which are particularly useful for diagnosing test failures caused by changes such as altered response stubs or header requirements. By allowing rollbacks of individual stubs or entire mocks, the platform facilitates effortless recovery from unintended changes, with each revert tracked as a new commit. This enhancement aims to streamline the process of building, testing, and collaborating on mock APIs, aligning with the rapid pace of codebase updates while maintaining stability in simulated environments.
