Introducing GraphQL Mocking in WireMock Cloud [Beta]

WireMock Cloud has introduced beta support for GraphQL APIs, enabling users to mock GraphQL APIs for design, development, testing, and continuous integration processes, similar to its existing support for REST and GRPC. This development addresses the gap in GraphQL tooling compared to the mature ecosystem available for REST, providing significant benefits for teams needing to develop front-end features before the backend is ready, simulate different responses, and manage complex services with GraphQL APIs. WireMock's GraphQL support allows for end-to-end and integration testing by stubbing out dependent services, enables frontend development without a backend by mocking expected queries, and facilitates contract testing to catch breaking changes. Additionally, it offers features like semantic matching, response templating, and stateful behavior to handle GraphQL's unique structure and requirements. The beta version is available in WireMock Cloud and WireMock OSS, and feedback is encouraged to refine the future of GraphQL testing with WireMock.
