Windsurf Wave 7

The JetBrains suite offers a significantly richer set of customizability and configurability compared to VSCode, which has limited APIs that restricted the development of an optimal agentic experience via extensions, leading to the creation of the Windsurf Editor. The collaboration with the JetBrains team has been instrumental in adapting the user experience of the Windsurf Editor to a JetBrains plugin, known as the Codeium extension. This partnership aligns with the shared mission of delivering superior development experiences to developers. The introduction of Cascade, an agentic experience within the Windsurf Editor, to JetBrains marks a new and exciting chapter for Codeium after 2.5 years, despite some confusion around naming conventions.
