Windsurf Wave 6
Blog post from Windsurf
Wave 6 introduces significant advancements in AI-assisted app building, focusing on seamless integration within an IDE. The highlight is the Deploys feature, which simplifies deploying websites or JavaScript web apps to public domains, with the option to claim deployments via a personal Netlify account. This tool is particularly tailored for Cascade users and facilitates deployment by modifying Netlify configuration files and uploading code to servers. Deploys, currently available to individual plans with code snippet telemetry and enabled teams, aim to enhance the end-to-end application building experience directly from the IDE. In addition to Deploys, Wave 6 includes a button for generating descriptive commit messages, improved user experience for managing conversation history, and performance enhancements for lengthy conversations, especially in Jupyter notebooks. Other updates feature support for server-side events, new Windsurf Editor icons, and enhancements in Memories retrieval, alongside various fixes and updates.
