A new Europe cluster based in Frankfurt, Germany, has been launched to serve European enterprise customers, ensuring that all data processing and retention remain within EU borders, although it may occasionally lag behind the US-based core cluster in terms of new feature availability. This initiative aims to better support over 100 large European enterprises and expand further in the European market. Additionally, improvements have been made to the Windsurf platform, including an expansion of the percentage of code written (PCW) metric to include Cascade edits, providing a more comprehensive view of the platform's value. The interface has been refined with enhanced visuals like file-type icons and syntax-highlighted code blocks, and users can now easily browse past conversations without leaving the current chat. Moreover, interactivity has been added to Cascade's terminal commands, and the legacy chat mode has been removed from the Windsurf Editor, as users predominantly favor the Write and Chat modes.
