Codeium is introducing a paid Pro tier for individual users at $10 per month, or $8.33 per month with an annual subscription, while maintaining its commitment to democratizing AI for developers. Although the primary focus remains on enterprise customers, this new tier offers enhanced features like faster Autocomplete speeds, unlimited access to large chat models, and uncapped reasoning capabilities, which are not available in the free tier. The Pro tier is designed to push the boundaries of quality and functionality, providing a cost-effective option compared to other market products. The free Individual plan continues to offer core functionalities with certain limitations based on compute availability, while the company explores ways to optimize and potentially expand free offerings. Additionally, pricing for Teams has increased, but current customers will retain their existing rates for the next billing period. The company is also previewing "Supercomplete," a feature that predicts user intent beyond simple code completion, to be available on the Pro plan soon.
